Here are some things to know about the campout:
- There is NO FEE for the campout. You will have to pay park fees for vehicles.
- There will be NO KARATE CLASSES AT THE DOJO during this time.
- Children are encouraged to attend. They must have a parent or designated adult supervisor with them for the duration of their stay.
- Workouts will be held in the field at our campsite or in the woods nearby.
- Classes will be in gi and shoes you can train in.
- Bring warm clothes for the cool mornings and nights.
- Bring a camp chair, if you have one.
- Everyone will be responsible for their own food and drinks. We will NOT be supplying food, utensils or cookware.
- We will have a large gas cook stove for anyone who needs to use it. Please bring your own, if you have one.
- There are about a dozen picnic tables with benches at the sight.
- It is expected that many S’mores and hotdogs will be cooked over the fire.
- There is only one spigot for water.
- We plan to set up a large outdoor sink at the water spigot with dish washing supplies.
- There are no showers and no indoor toilets. There is a (very clean) Port-a-potty on sight.
- We will supply wood for the campfire.
- There are trees around the campsite for shade. We will supply 2 pop-up canopies for shade at the eating area. Please bring more if you have one.
- The Willamette River is about a 10-minute walk from the site. There is a wonderful sandy “beach” and a shallow swimming area.
- An 18-hole Disc Golf Course is in the woods behind the campsite.
- There is a horseshoe pit in the campsite. We will set up a croquet set.
- There are miles of hiking and biking trails to explore.
- Capture the Flag on Saturday night!
- This is an alcohol-free event.
